Who We Are
Lawyers, Volunteers, and Neighbors — United for Nashville's Vote.
The Nashville Guardians of Democracy is a coalition of local election attorneys and community volunteers committed to ensuring every Nashvillian can safely cast their ballot.
Background
Our Story
Nashville's elections belong to Nashville. When threats to our democratic process emerged — from federal overreach, outside interference, or any other actor — a group of local election lawyers and longtime community organizers decided to act.
We formed the Guardians of Democracy to do one thing: make sure every vote in every one of Nashville's 178 precincts is cast freely, counted fairly, and protected by people who know the law and love this city.
Over the next two months, we are training anyone who shares that commitment — no legal background required, just a willingness to show up on Election Day, November 3rd.
The Goal
Our Commitment to All Election Day Precincts
Nashville has 178 voting precincts spread across Davidson County. Our goal is simple: a trained Guardian of Democracy present at every single one on Election Day. That means we need you.
